Robert D. Webb, M.D.

Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Webb attended the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and practiced pharmacy for four years in Carthage, Tennessee. Dr. Webb did his medical and eye training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. His special interests are refractive surgery and lid surgery. He and his wife Darlene have three children, Nick, Corrie and Brad and one granddaughter. In his free time, he enjoys golf and fishing. He is also an avid University of Tennessee fan.

Michael L. Haney, M.D.

Ophthalmologist | Optometrist | Thomasville GA | Moultrie GA | Tallahassee FLDr. Haney has been practicing in Thomasville, Georgia since July 1980. He was chosen to Phi Beta Kappa during his undergraduate studies and did his medical and eye training at Emory University in Atlanta. During his final year, he was Chief Resident. Dr. Haney's special interest is cataract surgery. He and his wife Bonnie have three children, Rachel, Mark and Jonathon. He enjoys hunting and working on his farm.

Michael J. Magbalon, M.D.

Ophthalmologist | Dr. Michael J. Magbalon, M.D. | Thomasville GA | Moultrie GA | Tallahassee FLDr Michael Magbalon or "Dr. Mike" as he is called by many of his patients joined the Thomasville Eye Center in June of 2007. Born in the Philippines and raised in New Jersey, Dr Mike has come to love the southwest Georgia lifestyle and particularly the community of Thomasville Georgia. After graduating with honors from Villanova University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics, he decided to pursue medicine at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Mike became interested in ophthalmology as a career and completed a residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He furthered his interests in the fields of corneal surgery and refractive surgery by completing a fellowship at the LSU Eye Center in New Orleans under the tutelage of Herb Kaufmann, MD, a pioneer in the field of corneal transplantation. Dr. Mike thoroughly enjoyed working with residents at the LSU Eye center that he decided to stay on staff as an Assistant Professor and pursue a second fellowship in the area of glaucoma surgery and disease.

Dr Mike has fully settled into our practice and offers his services with emphasis on refractive cataract surgery, LASIK surgery, glaucoma surgery, corneal transplantation and external disease management. He stays abreast of the latest developments in ophthalmic surgery including the growing use of lasers in corneal transplantation, and cataract surgery and looks forward to welcoming new patients to the practice.

When Dr Mike is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their four kids, including two children in diapers. He is an avid Villanova Wildcat basketball fan, University of Tennessee football fan, and enjoys the cultural opportunities in the area, along with tennis and travel adventures with his beloved wife Shannon.

Terrence A. Croyle, M.D.

Dr. Croyle has practiced in South Georgia since 1991. Raised in northern Ohio, he has degrees from The Ohio State University and the Medical University of Ohio. He interned at the University of Florida, spent three years as an Air Force physician/flight surgeon, practiced two years as an emergency room physician, and then completed his ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University Eye Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He remains a Clinical Associate Professor at Wake Forest, where he spent time on the faculty. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology, which includes cataract surgery, glaucoma, external eye diseases, medical retina, oculoplastic surgery, and neuro-ophthalmology.

Josh Newton, M.D.

Ophthalmologist | Dr. Josh Newton, M.D. | Thomasville GA | Moultrie GA | Tallahassee FLDr. Josh Newton, a native of Southwest Georgia, joined the Moultrie Eye Center in 2009 after earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completing his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology, which includes pediatrics, glaucoma, external diseases, medical retina, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology, and cataract surgery. He and his wife Alex have two children and are happy to be living back in Moultrie, Georgia.

Derrick Thornton, O.D.

Dr. Thornton has been practicing optometry in Thomasville and Moultrie since 2003. Dr. Thornton received his degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to joining Thomasville Eye Center and the Moultrie Eye Center he practiced optometry with Vision America at the Eye Foundation Hospital in Birmingham and was in private practice in Monroeville, Alabama. He resides in Moultrie, Georgia where he and his wife are raising their two daughters.
